Reservation received by Husky Home is considered as confirmed upon confirmation sent by e-mail, text message or written voucher.
Payment and Taxes
All safaris payment should be settled 24 hours before activity at our retailers or payment directly from online web shop at the time of booking.
Price and Taxes
All given prices include VAT according to the Taxation Laws and Regulations of Sweden. Husky Home reserves the right to adjust the prices in the event of any unforeseen increases in costs (including but not limited to increases in the amount of taxes, fuel prices etc.) beyond the control of Husky Home.
Amendments should be made at least 12 hours before activity taken place, and subject to safari availability. When amendment is confirmed – customers should receive a confirmation/ written consent from Husky Home.
If Husky Home is making changes of booking, we will inform you as soon as possible. You are able to choose weather to accept our alternatives, or cancel your booking with full refund.
Husky Home reserves the right to make alterations to the departure times, programs, price, duration or form of transportation without prior warning. This is also applied to changes in programs due to weather conditions.
For cancellation, please inform email@example.com and refer to your booking name / number.
Cancellation charges: Less than 24 hours, no show or being late from agreed meeting time is 100% non-refundable of the total amount.
If the reason of cancellation is due to injury or illness, please provide medical certificate for further reference, or we may agree an alternative date from the original booking date.
Acknowledgement of Risk
It is customers obligation to understand basic English in order to understand instructions, and you should be able to communicate with guides in charge in case of emergency. If the guide thinks you do not understands the instructions they can make you sit on the sled instead of letting you drive it.
Pregnant women are not recommended to participate in husky safari due to the fact that vibrations and exhaust fumes may be harmful. Failure to inform Husky Home of the pregnancy shall release from any liability to the pregnant customer.
Activities are taking place in wilderness, all safari procedures were taken into consideration to restrain any risk to a minimum. However, behavior of animals and arctic condition can never be fully predicted and therefore in order to reduce risks, customers are obligated to follow and obey all given safety instructions by Husky Home guides.
If guide believes that participants´ behavior is causing distress, dangerous or damage for other participants, animals or equipment – guide has authority to cancel your right to continue activity and company is not liable for activity refund or compensation.
Customers acknowledge arctic weather condition that ground may be very slippery, when the temperatures are close to zero degrees Celsius, and possible frost bite when temperatures are below minus 30 degrees Celsius.
In case of any complaints – notify the guides immediately after the safari or contact sales office in written form. Husky Home cannot accept liability for causes of dissatisfaction which are not notified to us immediately after the safari.
We do not recommend infants to participate on winter safaris – recommendations might change according to weather conditions. Toddlers are recommended to shorter safari programs.
To drive the dog sleds one must be 16 years old. aChildren younger than 16 years old will be seated in the sledge driven by guide. Toddlers has to be accompanied in the sledge by adult.
We welcome families with children under 16 years on our private family tour.
In case of emergencies, natural disaster, political disturbances and the like beyond our control (Force Majeure), which leaves with no other option than to cancel or alter a trip, Husky Home, is not obligated to refund any trip costs which may have incurred on the customer, as this in most cases is to be covered by travel insurances. However, customer satisfaction is important to us, and if Force Majeure is to occur, we will ensure the best service and security as we possibly can, and in many cases re-booking a trip to another date may be the best option.
Transportation and pickup
Tours include a round trip transfer from Camp Ripan, Kiruna to Husky Home kennel (Nedre Laukkuluspa 107), other place agreed in advance. Time for meeting point will be confirmed upon the reservation. Customers are transferred in minibus or other means of transportation organised by Husky Home.
Being late without prior contact to Husky Home considered as a no-show and payment is 100% not refunded.
The time for transfer from pick up point is included in the time announced for the tour.
Equipment are provided from Husky Home for the safaris – gloves, thermal overall, shoes, hats, balaclava. Extra blanket for the young passengers.
Goggles are not provided. Customers are welcome to use their own.
The time for getting dressed is included in the time announced for the tour.
Damage for the equipment caused by client has to be compensated for the company.
We strongly recommend that you purchase own travel insurance from your home country that covers not only the traveling but also winter sports /extreme sports – husky sledding, snowmobiling, skiing etc. Also cancellation, sickness/medical conditions, lost/stolen luggage and personal items and in case of Force Majeure.
The tours that offers lunch includes a lunch of local Shii-take mushroom soup (free of gluten and lactose), bread and butter, buns and coffee.
Husky Home has a General Third Party Liability Insurance for bodily injury and property damage.
Vehicle Liability Insurance
All the buses or other motorized transport vehicles used in traffic in Sweden must have valid Liability Insurance. The valid Liability Insurance of the vehicle that caused the accident shall cover compensation for damages or injury resulting from a road accident.
Swedish law prohibits driving a sled dog team under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Husky Home reserves the right to change the route and duration of all excursions due to the prevailing weather and snow conditions or in consideration of the safety and comfort of the participants.
